All other Band, Orchestra, and Choir Students
Here is what students should wear to performances: Students are expected to wear nice, all black clothes and shoes. This way the ensembles can have a unified look to reinforce the team aspect of the group. No jeans, sweats, sneakers, or crop tops, please. Clothing should not have any obvious logos on it. We ask students who are choosing to wear a dress or skirt to be mindful of the fact that they are elevated on the stage and that a too-short skirt might show the audience more than they want to. Students often end up wearing their same concert outfit for an entire year or more.
Band-Me-Downs
FOJAM’s “Band-Me-Downs’ program enables students who have outgrown their concert attire to donate to JAMS for the benefit and use of other students. If you have items of clothing that are still in good condition and wish to contribute or if you would like to find just the right item to complete your concert finery, please contact your music teacher for more information.
